Radster Trail

The Rad Power Bikes Radster Trail is the rugged, all-terrain sibling to the Radster Road. It is engineered for riders who want to transition seamlessly from daily city asphalt to unpaved backroads. Instead of rolling on ultra-wide, sluggish 4-inch monster truck tires, the Trail opts for highly nimble 27.5x3.0-inch "mid-fat" tires, offering the perfect sweet spot of off-road traction and loose-dirt capability without sacrificing snappy on-road handling.

It keeps all of Rad's premium generation-five technology—including a fluid torque sensor, a secure digital lock, and the fire-resistant Safe Shield battery—packaged into a mid-step frame built to take a beating.

• Power & Performance: Driven by an optimized 750W geared rear hub motor blasting out a massive 100Nm of torque. Combined with an intuitive torque sensor that immediately mirrors your pedaling effort, it delivers effortless hill-climbing power and smooth, lag-free acceleration.
• Battery & Safety: Outfitted with a semi-integrated, lockable 48V 15Ah (720Wh) Safe Shield Advanced Battery (fully UL 2271 certified). The individual cells are encased in a thermal potting resin to mitigate overheating hazards, yielding a realistic range of 25 to 65 miles per charge.
• Drivetrain & Speed: Features a class-switchable programming suite allowing you to choose between Class 1, 2, or 3 settings, topping out at a fast 28 mph on pedal assist and 20 mph via the half-twist throttle. Gear changes are crisply managed by an 8-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain with an under-bar trigger shifter and an 11-34T cassette.
• Brakes & Suspension: Stopped reliably by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes clamped onto 180mm rotors. Rough terrain and trail chatter are absorbed by an SR Suntour 80mm travel hydraulic suspension fork with preload adjustment and a mechanical lockout switch.
• Tires & Ergonomics: Rolls on knobby, high-traction 27.5x3.0-inch Kenda Havok mid-fat tires with handsome tan sidewalls. It features swept-back BMX-inspired handlebars for a commanding, upright riding posture and comes in two frame sizes (Regular for 4'11"-5'8" and Large for 5'7"-6'4") to ensure a proper ergonomic fit.
• Smart Tech & Utility: Tips the scales at 78 pounds and features a rugged 375-pound total payload capacity (with a 55-lb integrated rear rack). The tech suite is fully loaded, boasting a custom color display with a USB-C port, RFID proximity key fob and PIN-code security lock, an auto-on 450-lumen headlight, and an active rear brake light with integrated turn signals.
